What if Apple got into the Search Engine Business? With AI changing the landscape for Search engines there's a huge opportunity and gap in the market.

Today’s search feels noisy, intrusive, and blind to user context.Imagine search that’s clear, contextual, and built around you.”

Faster Answers

Design notes
In the first version, results appeared as a long list of blue links, forcing users to scan and click multiple times to get context. Testing showed most people didn’t want ten links they wanted the right answer upfront. I redesigned the page into Apple style cards with contextual snippets. The trade-off was surfacing fewer links immediately, but it cut average time to answer from 1:20 to 0:60 and improved efficiency perception by 40%. Grounded in Nielsen’s efficiency principle and Apple’s clarity guidelines, the change made results feel faster and more useful.

What if Apple reimagined search: private, contextual, and seamless?

Learnings 🌱

•Designing search isn't just about results ,it's about clarity and focus. Too much detail overwhelmed users, too little felt shallow.

I realised I could have tested interaction flows earlier(secondary actions in spotlight style results) instead of polishing static screens too soon. Next time, I'll prototype sooner to validate real usability.

Future Plans 🚀

•Explore progressive disclosure showing key into first, with option to dive deeper without clutter.

•Refine motion and transitions to make search feel smooth and Apple- native.

•iterate on visual hierarchy to reduce scanning time and help the most relevant result stand out instantly.
